Critical Thinking for Acquisition Professionals is a three day case-based introduction to the professional arts of systematic reasoning, argumentation, and persuasion. Those skills are needed to make sound acquisition decisions, give sensible explanations, and provide persuasive justifications of many kinds, including those needed in requirements analysis and specification, integrated program planning, acquisition planning, justifications of other than full and open competition, proposal preparation, source selection, protests, negotiations, determinations of price reasonableness and cost realism, requests for equitable adjustment, and claim submissions.

Graduates of Critical Thinking for Acquisition Professionals receive 24 hours of instruction and earn 24 continuous learning points or 24 continuing legal education points. The course is open to anyone who has achieved DAWIA Level I, FAC Level I, or their equivalent.

Course Hours

Course hours are 9:00 a.m. until 4 p.m., all three days.

All sessions will proceed as scheduled, starting at 9:00 a.m., regardless of weather or Government shutdown.

Tuition

Tuition is $1,500.00 per person. Groups of 3 three or more: $1,400.00 per person. Members of a group need not attend the same session in order to qualify for the group discount.  Online payment(s) can be made with VISA/Mastercard.  If paying with AMEX, please call 503-407-5878.

Reschedule/Cancellation/Refund Policy

Critical Thinking for Acquisition Professionals limits class size in order to provide a high quality educational experience. Registrants may ask to be rescheduled, one time, at no additional charge, or may cancel and obtain a refund, less a cancellation fee of $80.00, at any time prior to 21 calendar days before the first day of the session to which they have been admitted. No refund will be given in the event of rescheduling or cancellation 21 days or less before the first day of the session. Rescheduling 21 days or less before the first day of the session will require re-registration and additional payment.
